I believe that creativity and artistic expression are gifts inspired by God, the original creator.  I am truly thankful to Him for the gift of music. It is a tool that can be used to worship, express emotion and bring people closer together. As much as I have grown to love music, the beauty of jazz and the mystery of the guitar (among other instruments), I know that there is so much more to life than just the pursuit of music. In fact, its pursuit can be empty without a specific purpose. As people, I believe that our purpose, our job in life, is to first, love God with all our hearts, souls and minds and second, to love people as we love ourselves (see The Gospel According to Mark chapter12 verse 30). For me this can be a formidable task and one that I have to be committed to every day. Jesus said, "I have come that you might have life and that you would have it more abundantly."  In drawing closer to Christ we can find that abundant life and draw closer to our loved ones as well. While most of my music is instrumental and often jazzy in style, I hope that in some way it will stir in you a desire to draw closer to God as well as the people in your life.
